What is mioty®?

Mioty® was developed by the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits (IIS). Mioty® uses telegram splitting to achieve a high resistance to interference from other radio sources.

As an implementation of a standard of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI TS 103 357), mioty® is the first non-proprietary data radio solution for LPWAN in the licence-free frequency band. From the user’s point of view this means: a high degree of future security, long-term investment protection and worldwide interoperability. Thanks to the software-based solution, existing sensors, actuators and other devices can be easily retrofitted with mioty® technology.
