The Blackpool 5G SA Testbed and Demonstrator.
Blackpool is famous for its Tower, its illuminations, the trams and Strictly Ballroom, and it now has a 5G SA ORAN network funded by DSIT. The network comprises 18 small cells with 11 placed at regular intervals along the promenade with fibre backhaul provided by the Council network. Its an independent facility ideal for testing 5G mission critical applications and for training.
