Websites offering support receive ‘zero rating’

O2 has announced a ‘zero rating’ on a variety of support, financial guidance, and advice websites during the COVID-19 crisis.

According to the MNO, this is in order to “help its customers access the support they need, worry-free.” The rating means that its customers won’t use any of their monthly data allowances while browsing the sites in question.

Speaking of the decision, CEO at O2 Mark Evans said: “Our customers are the most important thing to us, and we want to ensure that they have the support they need throughout this difficult time.”

Organisations whose sites are now zero-rated by O2 include Citizens Advice, Mind, the NHS as well as around 20 others.
