Callum Joined Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service as a firefighter in September 1995.  He progressed through numerous operational and leadership roles within the Service including over three years working in the command and control room and leading the Services training department, subsequently the strategic lead for all Operational Support departments, once again including the command and control function. 

In July 2019 Callum transferred to Leicestershire Fire and rescue Service as an Assistant Chief Fire Officer, subsequently being promoted to Chief Fire Officer in September of 2020.  In a short timeline Callum not only led the Service through the COVID-19 pandemic but also improved the Services performance and culture seeing a significant improvement across almost all gradings of inspection.  Callum has just been appointed as the Digital, Technology and Cyber board chair for the National Fire Chiefs Council something he is passionate about progressing.
