Cheryl has worked for HM Coastguard for over 6 years working in various roles from control room operations to communications and finally becoming part of the Technology Team as Staff Officer Technical Services in 2021. She has a passion for driving innovation at the heart of HM Coastguard’s technology making sure to use data to drive user requirements. Since joining the technology team, she has extensive experience with all things terrestrial communications including 999, VHF, MF, Paging solutions, Airwave Radio Custodianship and Chairing the Emergency Services Airwave User Group. Cheryl assists in delivering effective communication innovation across the UK, which includes 11 Control Rooms/Maritime Rescue Coordination Centres, 500 rescue teams and 10 Search and Rescue Helicopter bases.
