Leah Delancey
Leah DeLancey is the Special Assistant and Lead Action Officer to the Executive Assistant Director of the Emergency Communications Division at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. In this role, she leads international efforts and supports internal and external communications for the division. She serves as a dedicated resource for the EAD’s priorities and as a liaison to the EAD for the division’s staff. She also takes on special projects, as assigned by the EAD and according to ECD’s strategic priorities.
Leah began her cybersecurity career at the National Cybersecurity Alliance as the Director of Partnerships and Cybersecurity Engagement. Leah developed and led the organization’s education program for small and medium sized business owners and employees in an effort to promote cybersecurity best practices. She played a key role in the organization’s growth and led stakeholder engagement efforts.
Previously, Leah worked at the U.S. House of Representatives, where she supported legislative staff with multiple projects and conducted weekly Capitol Tours for visitors. Following her work on Capitol Hill, Leah interned at Huntington Ingalls Industries in the Government Relations Office, conducting legislative research and coordinating event sponsorship.
Leah earned a BA in Political Science and Sociology from Pennsylvania State University with Magna Cum Laude honors. During this time, she served as a teaching assistant to her sociology professor, mentored students, and trained teams of computer mediated communications research assistants. Leah is a distinguished member of two honor societies and the National Society of Leadership & Success, showcasing her commitment to academic excellence.
