Dr Sam Prodger is the RNLI’s Head of Data, dedicated to leveraging data, research and AI to support the charity's strategic decision-making and driving innovation to enhance lifesaving and fundraising initiatives. Sam also volunteers as a lifeboat crew member at Poole, giving him a unique perspective on how data can directly impact search and rescue operations. This dual role allows him to witness first hand the practical applications of data in real-life rescue scenarios, ensuring that the RNLI’s data strategy is both effective and grounded in real-world experience and ultimately supports the mission of saving lives
